Nine By Kline is Fine With CDM

Led by nine points from senior Max Kline ( 4 goals, 5 assists) and seven from junior Jordan Greenhall (4g, 3a), Corona del Mar defeated Los Alamitos 15-3.

Sophomore LSM Jordan Pakzad warmed up the crowd for the Kline-Greenhall show when he opened the scoring with his first varsity goal.  Kline and Greenhall then took over the first quarter. Greenhall scored the next three, all with  assists from Kline, and then returned the favor by assisting on Kline’s first goal of the game.

In the second, Greenhall had another assist on a goal from senior Nino Chavez.  Then Sherwin Gersten, Stephen Von Der Ahe, Brett Greenlee, Noah Howe, and Kline got busy to make it 12 – 1 at half.   Kline took it home in the second half with two in the third and one in the fourth.   Junior Jason Simaan won 12 faceoffs and assisted on Kline’s second quarter goal.   Senior Ryan Brown (3 GBs) and junior Jack Denning (2 GBs) put in solid efforts on defense, helping to limit the Griffins to five shots on goal. The Maytag Men,  goalie Hoyt Crance and junior Nick Guizen, each had one save for the Sea Kings.
