Nathan Powell JV Tournament Is Sold Out

The 7th annual Nathan Powell Southwest Invitational Tournament hosted by Great Oak High School is sold out.  Fifteen of the top programs from the Inland Empire, Orange County, Los Angeles County, and San Diego County will play in the event on  April 29, 2017.

“I’m happy to say that we have sold out our 7th Annual Nathan Powell Tournament,” tournament chair said by email.  “We have a strong line-up representing some of the best programs in Southern California!”

The tournament is held each year in honor of Nathan Powell, who died at the age of 12. Nathan’s sudden and tragic death had a profound impact on the lacrosse community in the Temecula Valley. To honor his memory and the game he loved, Great Oak boys lacrosse created The Nathan Powell Southwest Invitational. Proceeds from this event are split between the Great Oak High School program and the Angel Lax Foundation, which was set up in honor of Nathan. This foundation provides scholarships and equipment for players that are less fortunate and can’t afford to play.
