Tuesday’s High Octane Box Lacrosse’s first game saw the Colts grab their second win of the season with Yuta Murata involved in 10 of the Colt’s 18 goals. The Broncos got their third win while dishing out the Charger’s first loss.
Austin Shackleford, Logan Carroll, and Yuta Murata gave the Colts a quick 3-1 lead in the first five minutes of the first period. The Ravens would spread the ball out and answer with goals from Jake Lombaro(2), Cole Spooner, Kyle Tweidt, Jeremey Traub, Michael Marino and Logan Sullivan to bring the lead back at the end of the first period 7-5. The second period was back and forth with no one gaining ground on the other ending with the Ravens still on top 12-10. With 4 goals and 2 assists, Muratta lead the Colt’s to an 8 goal third period that saw the Ravens only answer with 1 goal by Morgan Seymour that brought the game to a 18-13 conclusion in favor of the Colts.
The undefeated Chargers knew they had a game on their hands after the first period ended in a tie 3-3 with the final two goals of the period scored by Kaden Ebbinga and Drew Beals of the Chargers. The Broncos squandered what momentum the Chargers had with four unanswered goals by Jaden Silva(2), Harrison Pearson, and Drake Takata. The third period saw the Chargers try to mount a comeback with two last minute goals by Kaden Ebbinga and Ryan Brown but it wasn’t enough to keep their undefeated season alive.
Shoutout to Jacob Siflett for being a wall and making some ridiculous saves in goal during both games!
