Munro’s Six Goals Propels Vista over Creek

#1 Cherry Creek took on #2 Mountain Vista Tuesday night in a make up game at Shea Stadium.  Both teams entered the game undefeated in the state but Mountain Vista came out strong early to make a statement and didn’t let up until the final buzzer.  The Golden Eagles and Bruins traded a couple of early goals but Mountain Vista took over from there and lead 6-2 after the first quarter.  Creek managed to score tally a few more but couldn’t close the gap before halftime.  Mountain Vista lead 9-5 behind Colin Monro’s 4 goals.  The Golden Eagles continued to show they are for real in the second half and took a 11-6 lead into the fourth quarter.  Mountain Vista continued their dominance right up till the end with Jake Frane assisting on two late goals to finish off the Bruins 14-8.  Mountain Vista was lead in scoring by Colin Munro’s six goals followed by Jake Frane and Jake Harvey each with three.  The Golden Eagles proved they will be force to be reckoned with come playoff time.
