The Mission Viejo girls’ lacrosse team won their third game in four tries when they beat San Juan Hills 15-8 on Thursday. The Diablos took control of the game early, taking a 9-5 lead into halftime before cruising to a 15-8 victory.

Strong goalkeeping by sophomore by Diablo goalie Elizabeth Scott helped keep San Juan Hills out of the net. The Diablo offense was once again led by senior Lauren Robinson who scored 6 goals. Junior Maryn Macha added four goals and junior Shelley Cummings scored three.

Elena Guillen led the Stallions with a solid two-way game that included three goals, an assist, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers. Hannah Miller had two goals and two GBs. Taylor Austin finished with one goal and six draw controls and Claire Welter picked up four GBs.

Next up: Mission Viejo (6-3) plays Laguna Hills (4-7) on April 14. San Juan Hills (6-6), with the welcome addition of Journey Fischbeck (Mercyhurst), plays Rosary (3-3) on Tax Day. It will be Fischbeck’s first game of eligibility after transferring from Capo.
