Michel, Tseng score 5 each to lead Peninsula win

Senior attack Colton Michel and junior middie Koby Tseng each scored five goals Saturday to lead Peninsula to its third consecutive win to open the season, 15-10 over visiting Oaks Christian.

Panthers jumped in front 5-2 after one quarter and maintained a three-goal edge at halftime, 9-6. The Lions rallied in the second half but couldn’t quite tie it up. Peninsula pulled away late for the final margin.

Michel had two assists to go with his five goals, and he and Tseng were joined on the scoresheet by senior middie Brandon Wilson (2g, 2a), Caleb Smith (2g, 2a) and senior middie Grant Geiger (1g).

Senior goalie Lance Plonski made 13 saves, and senior defender Russell Wukugawa anchored the defense.
