Foothill junior Michael Logan has verbally committed to play NCAA Division 2 lacrosse at Colorado State University-Pueblo. The Thunderwolves compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference against Colorado Mesa, Westminster, Rockhurst and Adams State. They finished 2016 with a 3-11 record.
“What really attracted me to CSU-Pueblo, was the scenery of the town, weather, lacrosse program, the campus of the school, and their professional coaching,” Logan said by email.
“I’m excited for the opportunity for Michael to follow Foothill great Nick Matzek to CSU- Pueblo,” Foothill coach Jon Fox explained by em-mail. ” Michael is a strong young player with a lot of room for continued improvement. He just started playing the game in 8th grade so he will keep getting better and better over the next 2 seasons. His offensive skills are really building although his current specialty is at face off, transition, & dmid. His best attributes that get me excited is that he is a fiery competitor and also is totally coachable. He has a big heart and is a very hard worker and a great kid to have around!”
“My goal for the next 2 years at Foothill High School would be to win CIF and to become a better player overall, on and off the field, Logan explained. “I’d like to thank Foothill head coach, Jon Fox and Chester Paddy, I’d also like to thank my friends and family who pushed me to get here and achieve my dream.”
