Ethan Messer (4 goals, 1 assist) and Lincoln Dodd (3 goals, 2 assists) each finished the evening with five points to lead the Santa Margarita boys lacrosse team to a 12-4 win over Trinity League rival St. John Bosco. Noah Citek (2 goals), Braden Woomer (2 goals) and goalie Brenin Melton (15 saves) paced the Braves to keep things close in the first half. After falling behind 5-2 in Q2, the Braves were able to keep pace with the Eagles and Q2 and and trailed only 7-4 at halftime.
The Eagles (8-3/4-1) are now two-thirds of the way through a tough week of lacrosse after defeating Bosco on Wednesday. The week started on Monday with a tough road loss to Tesoro and culminates on Friday when the Eagles host perennial powerhouse St Margaret’s at 4 p.m.
