Messer and Dodd pace Santa Margarita in 12-4 win over Bosco

(4 goals, 1 assist) and (3 goals, 2 assists) each finished the evening with five points to lead the team to a 12-4 win over Trinity League rival St. John Bosco. (2 goals), (2 goals) and goalie (15 saves) paced the Braves to keep things close in the first half. After falling behind 5-2 in Q2, the Braves were able to keep pace with the Eagles and Q2 and and trailed only 7-4 at halftime. 

The Eagles defense, lead by (5 ground balls) and (2 caused turnovers) dominated the second half, shutting out the Braves to allow the Eagles to pull away for the 12-4 W. 

(3 goals), and (2 goals, 1 assist),   (1 assist), and (1 assist) also figured in the Santa Margarita scoring.  

The Eagles (8-3/4-1) are now two-thirds of the way through a tough week of lacrosse after defeating Bosco on Wednesday.  The week started on Monday with a tough road loss to Tesoro and  culminates on Friday when the Eagles host perennial powerhouse St Margaret’s at 4 p.m.
