School: Beckman

Grade: Junior

Position: Defense

Marissa will be a new face to the National Team this year after having played lacrosse for only four short years in which two of those she has played on the varsity team at Beckman High School. She has been recognized as a Varsity Scholar Athlete while attending Beckman as well.

Why are you most excited about being able to play for the National Team? “I am very excited to improve as a player and develop friendships with people who share my passion.”

What is your favorite lacrosse memory? After a tough game, my team had a sing off with another team from Pennsylvania.”

If you could describe yourself in four “hashtags” what would they be? #food #KeepMovingForward #AWomansPlaceIsInTheHouseAndTheSenate #TreatYoSelf”

If you were told you had to live the rest of your life as an animal what animal would you be and why? I would be an owl because they have supreme surveillance skills and the ability to fly would be very cool.”

“Marissa brings a passion and understanding to our program that cannot be taught. She is not only an all around reliable defender, she is a leader to younger players, yet a student of the game herself. Marissa is truly a joy to coach and I am so proud of all she has accomplished! Marissa, have a blast out there representing Orange County and Beckman and most importantly remember to Never Quit!”Beckman Coach, Kelly Baker
