With Orange County being the host to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association National Championships, home to four Southwestern Lacrosse Conference teams (including a national semi-finalist and a conference champion), and the roots for nearly 100 SLC players, the time has finally arrived for MaxLaxOC.com to start keeping our readers up to date on the SLC. MaxLaxOC.com will combine forces with our two new sites MaxLaxSD.com and MaxLaxLA.com to bring you the news and the action from one of the top conferences in the MCLA. Three out of the four MCLA Division 1 National semi-finalists represented the SLC in 2014, and the upcoming season promises to be every bit as exciting.
In addition to being one of the most popular destinations for local players looking to play at the next level, the SLC is one of the top conferences in the MCLA. The 23 member institutions of the SLC play some of the most exciting lacrosse that can be found in the west, and offer something for everyone: perennial national championship contenders, top-ranked academic institutions, some of the most beautiful campuses in the country, big schools, small schools, state schools, and private schools.
Our coverage of the SLC begins Tuesday as we introduce you to SLC coaches and offer insider program information for prospects. Then stay with us as we follow the SLC through the regular season, into the playoffs, and right on through to the MCLA Nationals Championships, which will once again be played in Orange County.
