Newport Harbor’s Alex Fuller is the MaxLaxOC.com Player of the Week
Fuller is one of those natural talents that has excelled at the game of lacrosse. He started playing his freshman year and in a few short years has become one of the most dangerous attackmen in the county. Fuller is right handed but operates on the left wing for Newport Harbor, a testament to his athleticism and skill. He is quick enough to create his own shots but uses his field sense to take the lead and facilitate offense for the Sailors as well.
Fuller’s seven goals and six assists last week against Edison set a school record for goals and points in a single game. In the previous game he racked up eight points off four goals and four assists that gave him a total of 21 points last week.
Head coach Mark Todd believes there is more to Fuller than meets the eye, “[Fuller] is small but quick and is incredibly coachable. Playing on the left wing for us balances out our offense and has led to amazing performances by other Sailors. On top of everything he does on the field, he is a great kid off the field. He boasts one of the highest GPAs in the school!”
