Foothill’s Warren Case is the Boys’ Player of the Week!
In a rematch of last year’s semifinal match between the Foothill Knights and the St. Margaret’s Tartans, Case stepped up and tallied three goals and two assists. He added three more points (1g, 2a) vs San Ramon Valley on Saturday. The senior has had a strong, balanced season so far, notching 55 points on the season with 26 goals and 29 assists.
Case is one of the two senior captains leading the Foothill Knights this year and is a dedicated student of the game. Either it be school or lacrosse, Case is a hard worker. You can see him working out in the field outside of practice by himself, with teammates or with his father. The skills that Case possesses have all been self taught through sweat and long hours of practice. His leadership and talent has been a major part Foothill’s success this year.
Off the field, Case is an excellent student. He’s the co-president of Strive – an Orange County peer mentor program for physically and mentally challenged adolescents and teens.
Coach Jon Fox recognizes Case will leave a big hole to fill next year, “He is one of those kids who is just a true pleasure to coach. I know when he is on the field he is going to leave it all out there. That type of attitude is contagious. He has left his mark here at Foothill and I know he will continue to do the same in his promising future.”
