The undefeated Mater Dei girls’ lacrosse team is ranked No. 4 in the West in the latest Nike/LM Regional Top 10.  Not surprisingly, the Monarchs, who have beaten the top three teams in San Diego and the top team in Los Angeles, are the top ranked team in Southern California.  No. 6 Torrey Pines (12-2) is the only other Southern California team to make the list.

4. Mater Dei (Calif.), 14-0. After earning a 16-12 win over Oak Park (Calif.), the Monarchs handed St. Margaret’s (Calif.) its first loss of the season, 19-5, on Saturday. Mater Dei will try to cap a perfect regular season this week with its final games against Santa Margarita (Calif.) on Tuesday and Foothill (Calif.) on Thursday. Previous ranking: 6
