Foothill High School senior Nate Marano made it official this week when he signed his National Letter of Intent to become a University of Denver Pioneer in the Fall of 2015. The reigning Nike/US Lacrosse West Player of the Year had a record breaking junior year. His 111 points broke the all-time Foothill points record, previously held by Cameron Cole at 105 (2010). Marano also surpassed the previous goals record of 76 held by current Pioneer Eric Adamson (2011).
Marano will be joined at Denver by Brett Greenlee (Corona del Mar High School) and Ryan Harnisch (St. Margaret’s Episcopal School). In the meantime, local lacrosse fans can look forward to some epic games this spring when the three future Pioneers and their talented high school teammates vie for supremacy in the Southern Division.
