Mammoth Down Team Power Minutes in Big Way

southern-california-indoor-lacrosse-league-scill-21599969This past Sunday teams from Ventura to San Clemente converged to play some indoor lacrosse at The Rinks in Huntington Beach.  Teams filled three rinks all day and MaxLax sat in for the final game to bring you a taste of the coverage for the coming weeks as we expand our coverage of indoor lax.

Goalies for both teams made huge saves all day

In one of the final games of the day the High School A division saw the Mammoth take on Team Power Minutes. The Mammoth struck first and went up early 2-0. The Mammoth wouldn’t be denied as they closed out the first period with 3 more goals and went up 5-0

Period 2 saw a slowing in scoring as the Mammoth possesed on offense and stopped two long man down situations. By the end of the third period, Team Power Minutes hadn’t stopped the bleeding and let up 3 more goals to make it 8-0.

The depth of the Mammoth’s bench would prove too much to handle in the third. Tired legs from Power Minutes and controlled possession on the Mammoth’s offensive end was a devastating combination. The Mammoths would continue their scoring ways and drain another 5 finishing off the game by a convincing score of 13-0.

Individual scoring was in bunches for Ryan Harnisch (3), Hunter Edington (3), and Connor Fallon (2)
