Mad Dog Club Wins Two Titles at ADRLN Event

The Mad Dog 2022/23 and Mad Dog 2024/25 A squads each went undefeated and claimed a division championship over the weekend at the America’s Finest Rivalry tournament in Del Mar.

In the “Imperial 2023/24” division, Mad Dog went 3-0 in pool play, allowing only six goals. Their only real test among Saturday’s pool games was a 5-4 victory over Coronado Islanders U-13. In bracket play Sunday, Mad Dog dispatched Movin Up U-13 10-1, then beat Coronado again to take the title. Coronado had defeated Arizona Outlaws 2023/24 in the semifinals.

In the “Fray 2024/25” division, Mad Dog A also went 3-0 in pool play, allowing only six goals. their only real test among Saturday’s pool games came in their tourney opener, a 9-6 win over 3d San Diego 2024. Their two other pool wins were shutouts.

After posting a third consecutive shutout in Sunday morning’s semifinal, Mad Dog beat the U-11 9-1 to claim the title. The Berserkers had gone 2-1 in pool play, losing to Mad Dog 9-0, then edged 3d San Diego 2024 3-2 in the semifinals.
