MaxLax is pleased to announce that Trey Lanthier will be joining the writing team for the 2017 spring season. He will serve as the website’s primary college beat writer.
As MaxLax’s college reporter, Lanthier will be covering the local MCLA teams and following along with former high school standouts from the Southern California area. This will include updates on their collegiate careers in the NCAA and the MCLA. His coverage will range from recaps of the weekend action, previews of big matchups, to feature stories on players and teams.
“It’s exciting to be returning to the writing side of the lacrosse media world,” Lanthier said. “I’m ready to hit the ground running with this.”
Lanthier comes to MaxLax with extensive experience in lacrosse media, most recently as a producer for the digital streaming platform Lax Sports Network. Prior to that, he was a MCLA national beat reporter for the league itself. He wrote and produced content for MCLA.us, also contributing to Inside Lacrosse’s coverage. He has broadcasted National Tournament games, SLC Tournament games, and served as an every-game play-by-play commentator for Arizona State University and Grand Canyon during the 2015 season.
Lanthier has formerly produced content for MaxLax, as an MCLA reporter, and produced a live regional high school semifinal game. This season, in addition to rejoining the MaxLax team, he will be reprising his role as the host of CrosseFire, a podcast dedicated to a national perspective on the entire club lacrosse landscape, which will be airing on Lacrosse Talk radio.
