LA Heat 2018 Squad Wins Adrenaline Shootout

The LA Heat 2018 squad went 8-0 at the Adrenaline Shootout in Colorado Springs last weekend to claim the championship of the High School division.

The Heat beat the Colorado Wild 2019 8-4 in the quarterfinals and Seattle Starz 2019 9-4 in the semifinals Sunday morning before handling DoCo Lacrosse 2019 (Denver) 10-2 in the title game.

In pool play, the Heat defeated RC HS Silver (San Diego) 6-2 and DoCo 2019 8-6 on Friday, before coasting through three blowouts on Saturday — 11-1 over Minnesota Select 2019, 14-2 over Dallas Select Rising and 14-2 over Rhino Silver (Portland.

Seven Heat players were selected to the division’s all-star game:

Elite Division

LA Heat 2017 went 3-1-1 in Elite Division pool play, then won a bracket game to reach the semifinals at the Adrenaline Shootout in Colorado Springs over the weekend.

The Heat tied DoCo Lacrosse 2017 (Denver) 5-5 in its opener Friday morning, then lost 7-6 to Seattle Starz 2018 later Friday. But LA roared back Saturday with consecutive wins over Chaos 2017/2018 (Texas), Denver Elite 2018 and SD United 17/18 (San Diego) to finish tied for fifth in the 18-team pool.

A rematch with DoCo 2017 in bracket play Sunday morning produced a 9-2 Heat victory, but the Heat lost in the semifinals to eventual champion RC Elite Silver of San Diego.

Sierra Canyon attack Miles Rosberg and Loyola middie Mason O’Hanlon were selected to the Elite Division All-Star game from the Heat roster, along with Loyola face-off specialist Aidan Hesse, who was playing for RC Elite.
