La Cañada High School is searching for a head coach for its recently established High School Club Boys Lacrosse Team. Spring 2019 will be the club’s first season. This is an opportunity for a coach to help formulate and build a high caliber team for the future, at a school with a fast-growing Lax presence.
The player roster will include players from grades 9-12, with several experienced players as well as athletes new to Lax.There is a recently established middle school boys lacrosse team that will act as a feeder to the High School club team, and many players are involved at the local club level. Coach’s pay will be in the form of a stipend for the season. Qualified Applicants should have:
- Applicants should have prior coaching, NCAA or MCLA playing experience
- Knowledge of the rules & regulations of the sport
- Have the ability with teaching/training players with a variety of lacrosse experience.
- Honest, motivated, and energetic; strong leadership and communication skills
La Cañada Unified School District is one of the top-performing public schools systems in California, ranked 1st or 2nd in academic performance for the past several years. Current student enrollment at the High School is approximately 1360 students.
