Knego, Handy, Pickell Top Locals Earning MCLA All American Status

The depth of lacrosse talent in Orange County that Orange High Schools are producing these days is quite evident in the 2015 MCLA All American rosters. Arizona junior goalie Tanner Knego  (Tesoro), Arizona State senior faceoff specialist Zack Handy (Foothill), and ASU senior middie Cooper Pickell lead a group of 15 OC alums who earned MCLA All American recognition this year.  Knego, Handy, and Pickell all earned First Team All American recognition in Division 1.

Colorado senior Jace Gan (Huntington Beach), San Diego State senior Kevin Hoover (San Juan Hills), Stanford senior Josh Giglio (Foothill) , Cal Poly San Luis Obispo sophomore Sean Pihl (Foothill), Colorado State sophomore Chase Warner, Grand Canyon sophomore Brandon Suchand, and Boise State junior Adam Smith all received Division 1 Honorable Mention.

Cal State Fullerton freshman Micah Willis (Huntington Beach), Fullerton sophomore Alex Kowalski (Huntington Beach), and Concordia junior Brendan Yount (J Serra) all received All American Second Team recognition in Division 2.

Concordia junior Chase Matranga (Dana Hills) was named a Division 2 Third Team All American.

Fullerton senior Chris Cole (Foothill) and Fullerton junior Brian Sutherland (Yorba Linda) earned Division 2 Honorable Mention honors.
