Kings In Hunt for PLF Crown

The Kings LC, comprised mainly of Corona del Mar High School players, finished pool play in the High School Elite Division of the Pacific Lacrosse Festival with a 2-1 record, good enough for a spot in today’s semi-finals.  The Kings meet the Beach Boys (3-0) at noon at Rancho Bernardo with a trip to the championship game on line.  The Boys Boys are stacked with talent from Poway High School, the San Diego CIF champions, and other teams from the Palomar League.  Factory Elite (3-0) and the L.A. Mavs (2-1) will battle for L.A. bragging rights in the other semi-final.

There will also be some great lacrosse played in the consolation bracket with the Beckman-based Wild Horse squad (1-2) facing the south-OC-centric California Ducks (0-3) in one of the consolation semi-finals, and Inland Empire-based 395 Starz meeting  Angel City Hounds (0-3), with many of next year’s Servite Friars,  in the other consolation semi-final.
