St. Margaret’s senior defenseman Kevin Caruana has verbally committed to play NCAA Division 3 lacrosse for Colorado College. “I was attracted to CC for its D 3 lacrosse, small community, academic rigor, and a beautiful area,” Caruana said by email.
“We are very proud of Kevin’s decision to attend and play lacrosse at Colorado College,” St. Margaret’s head coach Glen Miles said by email. “Kevin is a player who has worked very hard and makes himself better every day. He is a leader on our team and is an absolute pleasure to coach. Colorado College is a great fit for Kevin and I am confident that he will do very well there.”
Colorado College competes as an NCAA Division 3 Independent. The Tigers finished 2016 with a 12-5 record and reached the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Tigers defeated Whittier College in the first round of the tournament before falling to Salisbury in the second round.
With one season of high school ball left to enjoy, Caruana says “My personal and team goals are to love each other, play hard, and have fun.”
Caruana added “I would like to thank Coach Glen Miles for guiding me since middle school, my family for being supportive, and all the great players and coaches who have helped me along the way.”
