Kate Hick Takes Helm at Foothill

Foothill-g-hickKate Hick has been hired as the Foothill High School Girls’ Lacrosse Head Coach. The Pennsylvania native, four- year starter and All American at Duke University, and former head coach at Pepperdine University will be replacing Kaylee Navarrete, who is moving to Seattle, as Foothill’s head coach. Kate, together with Kaylee, guided the talented Foothill Knights to a CIF championship this past season.  Although Foothill is losing some very talented seniors from the championship winning team, it’s pool of talent is deep. Foothill’s JV team went undefeated in the 2015 season. Hannah Upshaw, who will be a senior next year, perhaps sums up Kate’s hiring best: “Kate is the type of coach you can’t help but love to play for. She is knowledgable, enthusiastic, intense and fun. Speaking on behalf of all of the girls, I can say we are very excited to have Kate stay with the program and look forward to another challenging season of lacrosse.”
