Joe Miraglia Named Athlete’s Choice Workhorse of the Week

JSerra captain Joe Miraglia is the Athletes Choice’s Workhorse of the Week. The junior midfielder recently committed to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at  Abbey (North Carolina) beginning in the fall of 2018.

His passion for the game and hard work ethic skills were recently highlighted by JSerra head coach and former professional lacrosse player Brendan Porter.

“Joe is one of our captains this year for a reason,” Porter said after JSerra’s season opener Wednesday night. “He wants to work. He wants to get better and better every day in practice. Man he is such a good player.”

On top of his time with JSerra, the junior has also played for the 3d Southland club team, where they competed in the Oceanside Hustle Tournament during the offseason. Miraglia scored a goal in the Lions season-opening game against Aliso Niguel this past Wednesday.
