Jeremy Davis, a rising senior at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School, has committed to play Division 1 lacrosse at the University of Richmond. Davis is an offensive midfielder who also plays football for the Tartans. A back injury caused him to sit out his entire sophomore-year lacrosse season and junior-year football season. Davis fully recovered for the 2016 lacrosse season and became a critical piece to the Tartans’ offense. Davis also considered Holy Cross, Lafayette and Furman.
Head coach Glen Miles thinks Richmond is a great fit for his athletic midfielder “I’m so excited for Jeremy. Richmond is a great school with a terrific lacrosse program. Coach Chemotti is a great young coach and I think this is a perfect for Jeremy.”
The Spiders play in the Southern Conference under head coach Dan Chermotti. The three year old program has played in the Conference Championship game in each year of its existence. The Spiders reached the NCAA tournament in 2014, their first year of Division 1 play.
