Jared Hodell (Monarch) is one of 14 freshmen to make the Bucknell 2019 roster. He will wear no. 29 for the Bison.
The freshman class was announced by head coach Frank Fedorjaka on BucknellBison.com. Hodell was the only player from west of the Mississippi in a group that hails from eight American states and one Canadian province: Maryland (3), New Jersey (3), Connecticut (2), Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Ontario.
The 6-3 180 pound midfielder was a four-year letter winner, four-time academic all-state honoree, three-time all-conference selection in high school.
In 2018, the Bison finished 11-4 overall and captured a share of the Patriot League regular-season title by going 7-1 in conference action. They reached the double digits in victories for the sixth time in Fedorjaka’s tenure as head coach and most notably knocked off eventual national champion Yale (9-8 OT) and then No. 6 Loyola (12-11) on the road. They rose as high as 10th in both the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches’ Poll and Inside Lacrosse Maverik Media Listing, their best national ranking since the 2013 campaign.
