Carthage College junior Jared Ferrell (El Toro High School) was named a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week today. Ferrell tallied two goals, one assist and one ground ball in an 11-4 win over Southwestern University (Texas) on Feb. 14. He followed up with four goals, including two man-up goals, and one ground ball in a 14-8 win at Rhodes College on Feb. 15. He also scored his 100th career point against Rhodes.

Ferrell is one of handful of OC alums making names for themselves at Carthage. Ferrell entered the season as the seventh leader in school history. You can see Ferrell and his teammates play on April 6 when they travel to Whittier College.
