Wesley Kim scored a season high 5 goals to pace Irvine High School to a 15-4 win over University High School. David Trask (4g, 1a), Tucker Page (3g, 2a), and Andy Nguyen (2g, 3a) finished with five points apiece to complete the Irvine scoring. Page recovered a team leading 8 groundballs and Joseph Carter, Andrew Chang, Luke Coleman, and Noah Miller each scooped up 4 groundballs. Matt Tran, Grant Tingrides, and Matt Alleman split time between the pipes and combined for 8 saves.
Irvine improved to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in Pacific Coast League play, one game behind Northwood and two games behind Beckman. With five league games to play, including one each against Northwood and Beckman, the Vaqueros are still in the hunt for the 2015 PCL championship.
