Former Beckman High School coach Seth Mahler informs us that the Team Israel Development trip has openings for boys’ and girls’ high school players looking for opportunities to play lacrosse internationally. This program is a unique integration of high level lacrosse, service learning through the development of the game in Israel, and the opportunity to tour historic Jewish sites throughout Israel. This experience culminates in an international tournament in Belgium where the team will represent Israel against opponents throughout Europe. Players will be coached by Teewaraton Trophy winner Peter Baum, Johns Hopkins All-American Kim Dubansky, who led Team Israel at the 2013 World Cup , and an impressive lineup of Israel national team players, former Jewish NCAA stars and Major League Lacrosse players.
Last year St. Margaret’s goalie Payton Fales played on Team Israel’s U-19 team and shared his experiences with MaxLaxOC.com. The various programs are described below.
