Hodge, Fischbeck Help San Juan Hills Fight Off Tesoro

Las Flores – The San Juan Hills girls lacrosse team stayed on track in the South Coast League by beating Tesoro 12-9 on Monday at Tesoro High School.

Lucy Hodge led San Juan Hills (5-4) with four goals while Jacy Fischbeck had three goals. Claire Welter added two goals and five groundballs while Mandy Muhr, Taylor Austin and Nina Barker chipped in one goal apiece for the Stallions, which led 6-3 at halftime.

For Tesoro (3-7), Paris Melberg led the way with five goals while Kaitlyn Shea added two goals. Hannah Maurer, Francesca Leduc and Brynne Peak chipped in one goal apiece for the Titans, which got 14 saves and three groundballs from goalie Leah Olsen.

The two teams will meet again on April 24 at San Juan Hills.

The two teams continue South Coast League play this week. San Juan Hills has a first place showdown against Trabuco Hills at home on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. while Tesoro plays at Aliso Niguel tonight at 5:30 p.m.
