Kline leads Ravens to First Win in High Octane Box League

Max Kline’s 9 goals lead the Ravens to their first win of the season, a 20-11 defeat of the Broncos, in Tuesday night High Octane box lacrosse action. The Ravens came out fast and furious, jumping out to a 7-2 first period lead with five goals from Kline and singletons from Jeremy Traub (three goals on the night) and Jake Lombardo (one goal, two assists), and never looked back. Morgan Seymour (one goal, two assists), Nino Chavez (three goals, two assists), Eric Masters (one goal, two assists), Michael Marino (one goal, one assist), Noah Linkon (one goal, two assists) completed the scoring for the Ravens. Connor Reid stopped 12 shots for the Ravens. Nick Webb (three goals), Spencer Martin (one goal),Matthew Truninger (two goals), and Drake Takata (two goals, one assist) scored for the Ravens.

In the final game of the night, the Chargers rode a balanced scoring attack to defeat the Colts 12-7, and remain undefeated. Ben Palitz and Cole Bennet led the Chargers offense with three goals apiece. Logan Miller and Drew Beals each scored two goals and Kaden Ebbinga and Will Cord scored once for the Chargers. Cole Spooner and Yuta Murata scored two goals each for the Colts while Logan Carroll, Logan Olmstead, and Brian Graves all notched one goal.

After four weeks, the Chargers sit atop the high school standings followed by the 4-2 Broncos, the 1-3 Ravens, and the 1-3 Colts. High Octane Play continues with Wild Card games Thursday night. League play continues next Tuesday with a full night of U15 and high school games.
