No. 5 Great Oak defeated No. 7 San Clemente 9-8 in a Friday showdown between two teams hoping to make deep playoff runs this year. The Wolfpack jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. San Clemente came right back to tie it up, and that set the pattern for the game. Great Oak goalie Kendal Dizon and his defense sparked the Wolfpack. Dizon had 17 saves and his defense teamed up to cause 10 turnovers.

Freshman Sean Sanchez (3g, 2a) led the Wolfpack offense with five points. Classmate Nathan Hoover registered two goals and an assist. Zach Freuhe (2g), Chase Taylor (1g, 1a), Adam Utter (1g), and Jacob Yordy (1a) also scored.

David Howren and Matt Keaney led the Tritons with three goals apiece. Sander Lush and Nick Lemus each netted a goal.
