The following letter was sent out to supporters of Glendale High School lacrosse on behalf of Archawin Nimanong and his family. Arch, a 2019 graduate of Glendale High School, was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
Members of the lacrosse community interested in offering their support can use the GoFundMe and Meal Train links at the end of the letter.
Good Morning Dynamiter Families –
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I reach out this morning to request your support for one of our very own, Archawin Nimanong.
As many of you know, Archawin was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia; a type of cancer developing in the blood and bone marrow. Although Arch graduated last year, his leadership is still very much admired by our present day Dynamiters. His dedication, strength and fearlessness is surpassed by none.
I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing Archawin’s journey first hand. He and my son lead our Dynamiters as co-captains in 2019, and were destined to do the same as teammates while playing for Glendale Community College. Arch has never ceased to amaze me. He has a way about him that is timeless – always greets me with a smile, a warm hug and a compliment. Even while in a hospital bed, after staring at the butterflies on his ceiling for 12 hours – he manages to ask me how I’m doing. Please believe me when I say, that I haven’t prayed this hard in a very long time.
Many of you have asked what you can do to help the Nimanong family – in addition to the Meal Train – a Go Fund Me has been established to help his parents ease their financial needs. We would sincerely appreciate you sharing these links with your loved ones. Please do not hesitate in reaching out to Coach Campbell or I with absolutely any questions that you might have. We are grateful for each and every one of you.
