Foothill sophomore Kevin Kodzis has verbally committed to Holy Cross, a Division I school in Worcester, Mass.
Kodzis, who will be in his second year as a varsity player on the Knights team, is also a member of the West Coast Starz club team. During the fall Kevin caught a lot of attention at the Terrapin Classic in Maryland on the West Cost Starz national team as well as Adrenaline High Rollers and Adrenaline Challenge where he was an All-Star at both events.
“This has been an exciting year for Foothill lacrosse” states Jon Fox. “This is the second D1 commitment for sophomores from Foothill. Nate Marano committed this past spring to Denver as a sophomore and now Kevin.”
“There were a lot of options for Kevin but it was important for him to play for a program that is growing and coach [Jim] Morrisey has that going on at Holy Cross. Kevin gets to be part of the program that the 2013 Coach of the year in the a Patriot League is building. I am so excited for Kevin and his academic and lacrosse future!” added Fox.
Kodzis will join both Jack and Michael Ortlieb at Holy Cross (Corona del Mar). Aside from lacrosse and school work, Kodzis also has been active in mission work in Mexico and Ecuador for the last three years.
