The Foothill girls’ lacrosse team took their second trip of the season to San Diego on Saturday; this time to play a double header against Westview High School and Scripps Ranch High School. The Knights beat Westview 16-4 and Scripps Ranch 11-4, keeping their perfect record intact.
For the day, the Knights were lead in scoring by Julia Taylor (Oregon) with 11 goals and 3 assists, Brie Ratkevich with 6 goals, and Lorien Bandhauer with 5 assists and one goal. Foothill had 42 shots on goal to 17 shots by the two San Diego teams combined. On the draw, Meridian Lee was in control with 23 on 34 attempts. The Knights defense was stingy allowing just 4 goals in each game with a combined 14 take aways (Carly Naud with 5) and 26 ground balls. Hannah Upshaw (USC) had 9 saves, 1 interception and 1 ground ball on a solid day in the cage.
Next up for the Knights is Cherry Creek (Colorado) and Santa Margarita in a double header on Tuesday afternoon on the Hillview Field at Foothill High School.
