Five Things to Know About: Crescenta Valley

In only their second season of varsity play, the Crescent Valley girls posted a 9-6 overall record, won their bracket at the Rose Bowl Jam and made the playoffs. Though they lost at Redondo Union in the first round, the achievement nevertheless capped a strong performance from a squad that returns an awful lot of talent in 2017.

Coach Boz Crowther shared five things to know about Crescenta Valley:

Key returning players: Top scorers Abby Sheklow (47g, 17a) and Leah Crowther (24g, 12a), goalie Sabrina White and midfielder Madeline Heeg.

Returning starters: We are returning our entire starting lineup from last year.

Cool lacrosse activities: This winter Abby Sheklow will be traveling to New York and Israel on a lacrosse service trip with the Israeli National U-17 Team.

New league: The Pacific League has lost Chaminade and Louisville but picked up West Ranch, Valencia and Westridge School.

Captains for the 2017 season: Seniors Leah Crowther and Abby Sheklow at attack, and junior Kimmie Foster at defense.
