Journey Fischbeck’s (No. 7 pictured above) return to eligibility is fueling a late season push for a playoff berth by the San Juan Hills Stallions. The Stallions won their fourth game in six outings when they beat No. 20 Dana Hills 12-10 on Monday.
Fischbeck led the Stallions on Monday with seven goals, one assist, and seven groundballs. She now has 17 goals and 18 groundballs in the three games since her return.
Sophomore Elena Guillen scored two goals for the Stallions. Sophomore Hannah Miller and freshmenTaylor Austin and Bridget Cain scored one apiece to complete the scoring for the Stallions. Cain also had five groundballs and two takeaways in a solid two-way performance. Sophomore Tristan Goldhammer finished the game with three groundballs and three takeaways. Sophomore goalie Aine Veon made 13 saves.
The Stallions (8-7) are hoping that strong outings in their remaining three games against El Toro, No. 15 Mission Viejo, and No. 9 Trabuco Hills will be enough to push them into the Top 16.
The Dolphins (4-10) finished their season against Laguna Hills on Wednesday.
