The top eight seeds advanced to round two of the 2015 boys lacrosse playoffs on Tuesday. The South Coast League, which has had four teams in the Top 10 for nearly the entire season, sends Trabuco Hills, Aliso Niguel, and San Clemente on to the quarterfinals. Santa Margarita and J Serra represent the Trinity League. The top three seeds, Foothill, Corona del Mar, and St. Margaret’s are all independent.
Thursday’s matchups, which are shown at the top of this page, feature three rematches. No. 2 Corona del Mar defeated No. 7 San Clemente 20-3 back in early March, No. 3 St. Margaret’s defeated No. 6 Trabuco Hills 9-6 on April 14, and No. 5 Santa Margarita will try to reverse two 12-11 decisions in favor of No. 4 J Serra this season. No. 1 Foothill and No. 8 Aliso Niguel meet for the first time.
