Factory Elite (3-0) and the L.A. Mavs (2-1) represented L.A. quite well yesterday at the Pacific Lacrosse Festival, finishing pool with a combined 5-1 record. The two teams will put LA bragging rights and a trip to the championship game on the line when they faceoff in the semi-finals at noon at Rancho Bernardo High School. The Beach Boys and the Kings LC meet in the other championship semi-final.
There will also be some great lacrosse played in the consolation bracket, which will have a decidedly Orange County flavor. Beckman High School based Wild Horse (1-2) plays the south OC-centric California Ducks (0-3) in one of the consolation semi-finals, and Inland Empire-based 395 Starz (1-2) meets Angel City Hounds (0-3), with many of next year’s Servite Friars, in the other consolation semi-final.
