After opening with a tough, 4-3 win over the Varsity, the HS Elite boys cruised through the rest of the weekend to win the six-team Boys HS Elite division at the Pacific Lacrosse Festival at Rancho Bernard High School.

Factory Select Elite went 5-0, outscoring its opponents 39-13. Only Angel City (Servite HS) managed to stay close, dropping a 6-3 decision Saturday evening. Factory Elite also beat Empire Lacrosse 10-4, Beach Burn Elite 12-1 and wrapped things up Sunday with a 7-2 win over Team NorCal Elite.

The LA Mavs Varsity likewise had a smooth weekend after the opening loss to Factory. The Mavs beat Beach Burn 6-4 and Team NorCal 9-2 on Saturday, then narrowly edged Angel City 6-5 on an overtime Braveheart goal by Sultan Daniels (Harvard Westlake) on Sunday before finishing with a 12-5 win over Empire Lacrosse.

Boys High School Division

The 20-team boys high school division featured three pools and no bracket play. LA Rogue-Hype Machine and Arizona Hawks finished tied atop the Blue Pool with perfect 5-0 records. They didn’t face each other, and neither appeared to face a major challenge.

LA Rogue-Hype Machine outscored its five opponents 37-11, beating Animals HS 6-4 and 619 Lacrosse 7-5 in its two closest matchups. Arizona Hawks posted a 52-12 goal differential, with a 9-4 win over Team NorCal HS Select its closest contest.

In the Red Pool, The Knights went 5-0, including one-goal victories over Team 395 (6-5), Dirty Birds (7-6) and Factory Select HS (8-7). Team 395 finished second to The Knights at 4-1, and Factory Select HS was third at 3-2.

In the Blue Pool, went 5-0 with a 47-9 goal differential that included two shutouts. Sunday morning, rallied to beat the Bakersfield Rams 8-6 to remain undefeated, then beat LA Mavs JV 9-2 to wrap things up. Bakersfield Rams finished 4-1, and LA Mavs JV finished 3-2. The Mavs lost to the Rams 3-2 in the tournament opener on Saturday.

Boys 15-U Division

The LA Mavs went 3-0 in Blue Pool play and beat Rise LC in the semifinals before falling to Team NorCal 2021/22 in the title game Sunday. The Mavs beat U15 11-7, Animals 2021/22 7-5 and 15U All-Strs 10-4 in Saturday’s pool play, then beat Red Pool winner Rise LC on Sunday morning.

Factory Select U15 went 2-1 in Blue Pool play.

Boys 13-U Division

LA Mavs 2022/23 Red — one of four LA Mavs squads entered in the 13-U Division — went 4-0 to win the Blue Pool, the beat Red Pool winner Beach Cities U13 16-2 in the championship game.

LA Mavs 2022/23 Red beat , Empire Lacrosse and Pacific Lacrosse on Saturday, then outlasted Factory Select 7-4 on Sunday to win the pool. Beach Cities beat Empire, LA Mavs White and Team Norcal on Saturday, then beat LA Mavs Blue to win the pool.

Trident beat Team NorCal 13-4 in the third-place game, and Factory Select beat LA Mavs Blue 9-0 in the fifth-place game.

Boys 11-U Division

Mavs U11 Orange won the division with a 5-0 record in round-robin pool play, outscoring its opponents 48-13. 3d San Diego 2025 finished second in the pool with only an 11-5 loss to Mavs Orange to blemish its record.

Boys 9-U Division

The and South Bay Select each went 5-0 in round-robin pool play to finish tied atop the eight-team division, but they did not face each other, and there was no bracket round in this division.

The Berserkers outscored its opponents 55-13, while South Bay Select outscored its opponents 51-13.
