The Denver men's lacrosse class of 2022 gathers at Coach Tierney's house over Labor Day Weekend.

The long wait is over for Ellis Geis (Foothill ’18).  Nearly three years after announcing his verbal commitment to Denver University,  Geis along with 17 other incoming freshmen,  moved into his dorm on Monday and was added to the Pioneers’ roster. Classes begin on September 10 after this week’s freshmen orientation.

The freshman families were greeted by DU lacrosse players who helped their teammates carry their belongings up to their new rooms and aid in the move in.  Parents and players were then treated to lunch at Coach Tierney’s house, where the picture above was taken.

Geis (back row, 5th from right) is one of five west coasters in his class.  Matt Marino (Bellevue, WA), Dante Bravo (Bellarmine College Prep), Drew Erickson (San Ramon Valley) and Cole French (San Ramon Valley) complete the west coast contingent.

The Pios will be in Socal on March 9 when they play Notre Dame in the Pacific Coast Shootout on 3/9. The freshmen will get their first shot at live game action when the Pios travel to Michigan for a preseason scrimmage next month.
