Head coach Robert Prieto has stepped down after leading the Edison Chargers to a 7-8 record in the school’s first varsity season, according to sources including the OC Register.
When Edison came on the scene this year there was a lot of excitement to see how a team would transition from the High School club level to the Varsity scene. Coach Prieto defied expectations and turned the Chargers a team to be reckoned with in the Sunset League and came close to really shaking up post-season hopes for some teams.
Edison’s athletic director Rich Boyce recently announced that Coach Prieto would be leaving the team, citing personal reasons.
Luckily for Edison there is still a fever for the sport, a crucial element for any great program. Edison is now openly accepting applications for the head coaching vacancy. If you are interested in becoming the new head coach at Edison, email Mr. Boyce at firstname.lastname@example.org.
