DU survives early scare to defeat Ohio State 15-6

The University of Denver survived a strong effort from Ohio State to win 15-6 in front of the 27th consecutive home sellout crowd.  The game was tightly contested until the fourth quarter.  DU took a 7-5 lead into the quarter and dominated the Buckeyes outscoring them 8-1.  Trevor Baptiste continued his dominance at the face-off x winning 15-23 face-offs and was named Big East Defensive player of the week.  That makes two weeks in a row a DU player has received that honor.  Last week freshman goalie Alex Ready was recognized for his efforts against Notre Dame.  Jack Bobbin and Connor Cannizzaro each had a hat trick and local product Colton Jackson, a freshman from Highlands Ranch, had two goals in his first start at midfield.  DU travels to Dallas to take on Penn State this weekend.
