The Culver City High School girls lacrosse team won its season opener Thursday night, defeating visiting Hamilton 13-12 in a game that was tight from wire to wire.
Freshman Larissa Andrick led the Centaurs with four goals, and senior Catie Shin and freshman Sydney Shin scored three goals each. Goalie JoJo De La Trinidad made nine saves to lead the defense.
Culver City, which went 7-12 last season — including a 16-10 loss at Hamilton — recorded its first win under new head coach Emily Rodgers.
