Showing the resiliency that one would expect from a program that has produced so many Foothill High School Knights, Crush U-11 went home with a Sandstorm championship. Shaking off the disappointment of a devastating one goal loss at the Adrenaline Challenge in Del Mar two weeks, Coaches Jon Fox and Mark Copeland and their player, came to the desert with the goal of sealing the dealing this time. Following a loss to the Santa Monica Dragons, OC Crush u-11 team picked their heads up and faced the Dragons just ten minutes later in the championship game. With Jackson Hines in goal and scores from Luke Fox, Cohen Krudwig, Drew Tyson and Gavin Ahern, the OC Crush redeemed themselves with a 6-5 victory to bring the first Sandstorm tourney championship to the Crush club. Roman Marchetti, and middies Casey Copeland, Dean Pistone, and Reese Boyd were instrumental in the win.
