Corona del Mar Doubles Up Tesoro

No. 1 Corona del Mar defeated no. 8 Tesoro 14-7 to move on to the Orange County semi-finals. Once again, the Sea Kings took advantage of face-off domination and solid team defense to capture a victory. Jason Simaan (13/16), Matt Saucedo (4/6) and Nick Puglia (1/1) won 18 of 23 faceoffs to give their team control of the ball. The defense limited Tesoro to just 10 shots on goal.

Freshman Carson Spooner showed that Tesoro has a bright future with a team leading three goals.Trent Tubbs (1g,1a), Cole Spooner (1g), Brian Graves(1a), Braden King (1a), Jason Moreta (1g) and Kalil Scales also registered points for the Titans.
