Zachary Hodge (Poway ’16), Brandon Mayo (Tesoro ’15), and Jake Pense (De La Salle ’14) were named to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association Division 2 All-Tournament Team. The trio led Concordia-Irvine to its first national Championship.
Hodge, a sophomore, was named Most Valuable Player of the title game of the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, leading the Division II All-Tournament team. Hodge scored a season-high six points (5 goals, 1 assist) in the championship game. He was the team’s fifth-leading scorer during the season with 48 points (27g, 21a).

Mayo, a sophomore, scored 13 goals in the tournament including a championship game hat trick. He was the team’s second-leading scorer over the course of the season with 73 points (62g, 11a).

Pense, a junior, played shutdown defense during the tournament and recovered two groundballs in the championship game.
