Starts Season at No. 15

University  is  ranked No. 15  the USILA/Nike preseason Division II poll.  Led by junior captain Jake Douglas (Tesoro), the Mavericks are deep in Orange County talent.  Douglas is joined by  Steve Brandenburg (Los Alamitos), Cole Schleppy (JSerra),  Logan Olmstead (JSerra) Nick Georgagi (JSerra),  Michael Marino (Aliso Niguel), and Jonah Rinaldi (Aliso Niguel) are also on the Mavericks’ roster.

The defending WILA champions finished 2015 with a 10-3 overall record and 6-0 in conference.  They start Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play this season.  Adams State University, CSU-Pueblo, Westminster College, and Rockhurst University will also compete in the RMAC.
