Freshman goalie Nick Colignon earned the first shutout of his young varsity lacrosse career as the Mater Dei boys lacrosse team defeated JSerra 20-0 on Thursday. Peter Hagan and Sean Waterman led the Monarchs on the offensive end of the field with nine points apiece. Luke Belinski dominated face-offs going 14/18 and Samari Staten picked up seven groundballs.

Mater Dei (5-2, 1-0) travels to Santiago (4-2) on Tuesday (3/19). The Lions (2-2. 0-1) take some time off before facing Mater once again on March 22.
