Cole Spooner Announced With Westminster Incoming Class

Former Tesoro face-off specialist Cole Spooner was one of 17 newcomers recently welcomed to the Westminster College Men’s Lacrosse roster.  He was a First-Team South Coast All-League and honorable mention All-County his senior season. Spooner was one of four Californians added to the roster.  He will wear no. 28 for the Griffins.

Westminster plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference against Colorado Mesa, Adam State, Rockhurst and CSU-Pueblo.  The Griffins finished 2016 with a 9-3 overall and 7-1 league record.

This year the Westminster men’s lacrosse team welcomes our largest class with seventeen players joining the Griffin squad. This group reveals the rapid growth of the game in the west with players representing seven different states. Of the newcomers, Oregon leads the way with six student-athletes joining the team. The states of California (four) and Utah (three) are also well represented.
